Our expert says:
Whichever works for you. IN terms of energy demand, and therefore, weight loss potential, they're very much the same. The limitations of both are practical - the treadmill is generally softer and so yes, the impact is lower. But it's also boring and the lack of changing scenery and terrain can be helpful when you are outside. Then there is safety and weather, both of which are better for a treadmill.
Ultimately, it's a personal preference, nothing specific that says one or the other is better. As long as you do it, it helps, so do whatever it is to do it!
