TPN

What support exists in RSA for patients on Total Parenteral Nutrition /TPN?

(Parenteral nutrition (PN) is feeding a person intravenously, bypassing the usual process of eating and digestion, when no food is given by other routes.)

Who can lead a normal life with TPN? In other words, who are not bedridden.

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any TPN support groups in South Africa. Please refer to the following link for more information about TPN: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_parenteral_nutrition
