Tick fever

Can tick fever come back after a year, sickening the pasient, without a tick byting him again?
My son had it last year April, and over the weekend all the same symptons came back - high fever, headaches and he feels sick overall.

Hallo Ida
No tickbite fever is not recurrent - let your doctor have a look as he may have an underlying viral infection ( Coxachie/Ebstein barr or even flu)
