thyroiditis

I have been diagnosed with thyroiditis and initially i did lose weight. but i have now gained weight (9 kgs). i' ve read this is more a symptom of underactive thyroid. why would i be gaining weight (eating pattern not changed). and how can i prevent further weight gain

Have your thyroid hormone levels tested - thyroiditis often cause hyperthyroidism followed by hypo thyroidism and you may need supplements
