Thyroid

Dear CyberDoc

Do I need 2 go 2 a specialist 2 check my thyroid (if yes which 1)or can I go 2 a GP.

You can consult your GP for a thyroid test. It is a simple blood test and if needed, your GP will be able to prescribe the necessary medication.

If you go to a GP make sure they test both your TSH3 and TSH4 levels, otherwise you will not get a true reflection of what is happening in your thyroid. Best to go to an endocrinologist.
