What specifically causes high testosterone in women?
Even in women who are relatively healthy, normal weight and not taking things like steroids etc.

An increase of testosterone in women are caused by conditions like adrenal gland dysfunction, polycistic ovary syndrome and when women have lower estrogen levels due to something like menopause. The treatment is often the same but I suggest that you consult an endocrynologist to find the cause for the increase in testosterone. This way treatment can be more spesific.
