My hubby has some kind of allergies it started when drinking alcohol hed ’ swell the whole body with a very terrible rash all over his body and face. The whole body will be terribly itchy the next day. Now the same happens for no apparent reason he doesn’ t know what to eat anymore. He tested positive to allergy in Peanuts, Tomato, Soya, Orange, Wheat but this was negative 4 years ago. What treatment does he need?

Hallo Sweetness
He can take an antihistamine tablet but if it is very bad he may need to get a prescription for cortisone from a doctor. If he is allergic to beer it could be the grain that it is made from, or he may have a sensitivity to sulphites (wines) or he may have a genetic problem that causes his body to be intolerant of alcohol in general. Hi sweetness, he would need to stay away from those foods or foods with those items in them. The alcohol might have wheat in it, berries etc My hubby went all red from an berry liqueur &  that was just 1 tot.-He was also very hot &  flushed but went away after a few hours.

If your husband has been for all the allergy tests he could see a dietitian to help with a meal plan and to find foods that he can eat &  those he should stay away from.

He might also need to have some medication at hand so if he does eat something with peanuts in, by mistake he can give himself an injection or swallow a pill straight away to avoid the allergic reaction.
