Termination and blighted ovum

Hello
A few years ago I had a termination. My gynae called me a week or so later to tell me that I had had a blighted ovum. I am now wondering if he said that so I would feel less guilty and it was in fact a viable pregnancy. Is that likely? Or do doctors have a code of conduct and aren''t allowed to lie to their patients?

I doubt that your doctor would have lied. The histology result probably came in and this is what he informed you of.
