tendon synovectomy vs carpal tunnel syndrome

Good day,

I Have been to the doctor &  he want to do a tendon synovectomy on my right wrist.

I Just want to find out a bit more about what exactly to expect, what he will do &  how this differs from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Thank you very much

Hallo Idt
They remove the "sheath" in which the tendons run in the palm of the hand (for carpal tunnel they work more in the wrist) to reduce the pressure on the tendons. Your hand will be in a splint for a week or so.
