teet syndrome

Hi! cyberdoc, i' ve have the flu and was getting pains on the left side of my chest and every time i took a breath it would pain even more. So i decided to see a gp and he said that i have ' TEET SYNDROME' . I would like to know what this is and how it is caused?

It is Tietze syndrome - usually caused by virus infection and is inflammation of the chest wall. Not dangerous, just very uncomfortable. Takes a while to go away and only treatment is symptomatic.
