tampon disposal

Hi, can someone please tell me if some tampons can be flushed - specifically lilets?
I know they have a type with special carton inserter things that are " 100% flushable"  but I just use the normal ones.
What do I do with these if I stay over at my (male) friend''s place if they don''t quite cater for special bins and one can''t flush a tampon?

I'm sure you won't cause any major problems if you flush them.

Hi. I have always flushed my tampons. It''s just the pads that need to be thrown away.
