take retrenchment or salary cut??

Good day
Do not know what to do here. Company in financial trouble at the moment. They have offered me retrenchment of 3months or to take a transfer within the company for a lower salary. (this company has 2 sides - one side not doing well, the other is only fair). If i take a lower salary - i am going to battle even more. If i take retrenchment - how do i know i will get a job before that money runs out? Catch 22 right now.
Is it legally correct to offer a salary cut?

Please any advice right now would be appreciated

you are certainly in a catch 22 situation. It often is legally correct to offer a salary cut to try and save atleast a job. In this day and age it is probably worth taking the salary cut than the retrenchment package.
