Tailbone Pain in Pregnancy

I am now 11 weeks, 5 days &  since Monday, 03/09/12, I have been experiencing moderate to severe pain on the left of my tail bone.

It happens mainly when I sit, when I walk immediately after standing up &  also in the morning when I jump out of bed.

Is this normal?

My next appointment to see my Gynae is only on 20/09/12.

It may be that the ligaments in this area are stretching causing the coccyx to move around. There isn't much you can do about this. Take Panado if you need to and get an air cushion to sit on.

Best wishes
