swollen vingers

My vingers are swollen, I must say I did put some weight on. Can that be the only reason that I can not wear my weddingrings any more.

Gaining weight will definate increase the circumference of your fingers and could be the reason why your fingers are "swollen". You can consult your doctor for a full examination and blood tests, to exclude other causes for swollen hands, like water retension or poor blood circulation in your hands.
