SWOLLEN TUBES

MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN COMPLAINING OF LOWER ABDOMINAL PAIN WHICH GETS SEVERE WHEN SHE MENSTUATES.SHE WENT TO THE DOCTOR WHO ORDERED AN ULTRASOUND,SHE TOLD ME THAT HE SAID HER FALLOPEAN TUBES WERE INFLAMED.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE CAUSE OF IT IS AND WHAT THE COMPLICATIONS CAN BE.

REGARDING SWOLLEN TUBES, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT MY DAUGHTER GOT THE INFECTION FROM USING TAMPONS

It is usulally due to a sexually transmitted infection and can cause infertility and of course other STD''s (eg HIV)
