Swine Flu

I would like to know if someone should contract swine flu, how long from infection will it take to show the symptoms thereof? or is it immediate? when going to a GP with fly symptoms they happily prescribe antibiotics etc, i do not see them doing any test for swine flu so how would one know since the symptoms are same as normal flu/cold?

Dear Balor
Swine flu would follow the same path as normal flu - you will develop symptoms over 24- 48 hours - doctors will test for swine flu if you have fever of more than 38 degrees, flu symptoms, diarrhoea and vomiting and contact with a swine flu infected patient or coming from an area where swine flu is prevalent like America.
