Swelling

Hi, in the morning my hands are swollen, i feel it in my weddingband. What can it be? Maybe the food I''m eating?
B/fast: Allbran, oatbran,1prov. OR muesli with fat free milk.
Snack: fruit
Lunch: salad, &  (baked beans or steamed fish, chicken or liver) &  1 prov.
Snack: fruit,yog,oatbran
Supper: steamed veggies or baked potato or pasta with proteien - (fish, chicken, mince)
Drink +- 2.5L liq.
I use the prov, and oatbran to try stay regular.
Am I taking in too much bran/prov. that it make me retain water?
thanks &  God bless

Hallo Adele
No the fibre won't cause water retention. This could be caused by your kidneys not working optimally, heart problems (irregular heart beats or heart failure) or hormonal imbalances. A diet high in salt and certain medications like anti-inflammatories can also cause water retention. One can check kidney function/hormone levels with a blood test.
