I need an easy, cheap, sustainable detox and energy diet for a student on strict time and money budget (has gastritis from time to time).

Thanx

Dear Stefan
Detox diets are risky at the best of times and esp if someone suffers from gastritis. Last year the media splashed the news that detox diets were harmful and even deadly over all the newspapers and magazines. This was based on the reports of deaths caused by electrolyte imbalances that patients had suffered during detoxing. Click on 'Diet' at the top of this page and search for the article "DETOX DIETS - DO THEY WORK OR ARE THEY HARMFUL?" which I wrote to warn Readers against these practices.
Reduce your energy intake by eating an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet’ and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and increase your energy output by doing regular exercise (running, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming, join a gym or Walk for Life). The diet is not expensive and generally uses standard foods. To save money all you need to do is to buy a skipping rope and start skipping every day for 30 min. Start slowly and increase how long and fast you skip as you start losing weight and getting fitter.
Best regards
