Pls can you tell me if Sushi is fattening? What would be a reasonable amount to eat as a serving?

Dear Carol
Sushi is usually made with raw salmon or crab or other seafood. Any food eaten in excess can cause weight gain, so have moderate portions of sushi. According to the SA Food Tables, salmon contains 642 kJ and 7.3 g of fat per 100g, so a portion of about 50g should not be excessive.
