Surgical Scars

Is tanning a new (6 months) scar good for it - or will it make it worse.

I use the sunbed.

Dear Topaz_sa
Tanning won't make the scar worse, but it may be more obvious as it does not have enough of the tan producing pigment in the new skin. Also be careful not to burn the area. You may need to wear a bit of "make up" over the scar to make it less obvious if you are darkly tanned. I must get in some preaching: a Tanning bed is BAD for your skin, it increases risk of cancer and makes you look old quicker!
