submandibular gland removal-side effects?

WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY REMOVE THE SUBMANDIBULAR GLAND IF THEY CANNOT REMOVE THE CALCIUM STONE. WHAT ARE THE COMPLICATIONS OR SIDE EFFECTS OF REMOVING THE GLAND?

There are 3 other glands that can do the work, so would not be a major problem. May have a drier mouth until the other glands started compensating with saliva production.

Had operation over 15 years ago. Still suffering from pain cannot ea sweet, fairy or highly spiced food no one ever bothered to check my symptoms. Never have it done
