stomach cancer

My grandfather has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. He is in his 80''s. Im 25 year old. Should I get regular screening for cancer or is his diagnosis something we can attribute to old age.

Hallo Jay
Risk factors for gastric cancer are peptic ulcers, smoking, eating a lot of salt, and not eating enough fresh fruit and vegetables. If your grandfather is the only person in your family that developed gastric cancer, it is probably not hereditary.
