sterilize

hi doc. i wana know if i can reverse my sterilization which iv done 3 years ago. and will there be any complications? and is this costly? thanks you

Yes a sterilization can be reversed, it will need a rather delicate operation and depending on your age the success will be 80 to 60% ( 80% if you are 30-35, 60% if you are 35-40, 30% if you are over 40) Cost would depend on the gynecologist and the hospital you use - you can ask for a quotation beforehand. Try and find out from your GP if there is anyone in your area that is good with these kind of operations. Complications or risks will be the same as any abdominal operation, mostly bleeding, infection or anaesthetic risks, but not more than the average.
