Starting a Family

Hi there

i have been on the pill for the last 3 years, on nordette for 2 years and currently on minerva 35. my husband and i would like to try to fall pregnant by Nov ' 09. i know that is still a while away but will like some advise early on. when do u advise that i go off the pill. i realize that each persons body is different, but a rough estimation will be appreciated.

Probably about 3 months before you plan to have a pregnancy, but remember that some women fall pregnant straight away. Others can take up to a year.

If i were you i' d go off the pill now and start using condoms as protection. It could take up to 1 year for your body to adjust from not being on the pill.
