Sprained hand

Hi Doc, how do I know if i sprained my hand. After i fell and landed on my hand the pain seems to be in my wrist and hand. There is no swelling though just worried as the pain hasnt gone away as yet. Its not a very heavy pain that comes and goes. If it easy sprained how do i treat it?

Sprains usually cause swelling and pain but you can move the hand fine. If you have any difficulty making normal movements or any lumps on your hand/wrist, you may need to have a x/ray to exclude a fracture
