Splintering sounds bending down

Hi Doc
I''m a 30 year old female, relatively healthy and slightly overweight.

When I bend over (touching toes) my back makes a splintering sound. I only assume its my middle back area. Its not sore although I can feel and hear it and it sounds disturbing.

Any advice?

Hello Tan,
These sounds are likely to be your spinal joints releasing. There is unlikely to anything to be concerned about. However, this may be happening because your body is adjusting to exercise, posture or stress. Please consult with your local osteopath if you would like to follow up on these concerns.

Best regards
