Spiteful or unintentional

My family know that I have an infertility problem and have tried fort he past 5 yrs to fall pregnant &  depsite treatment have failed. We do have one child though.

Once my aunt said it doesn' t matter if I can' t have another as we have one. But she goes on about her kids and how she doesn' t know what she would do without them. During our last visit home, hubby &  I met my aunt. She asked if we were still trying to conceive &  I said no, we are taking a break. A little while later, when her son came by with his baby, she asked when we are having another, we must have another soon as our other child is getting older. I can' t understand this women. She says it so sweetly and innocently that you won' t even imagine her being mean. She' s in her early 40s, so I can' t blame anything on age.

Is this intentional or just her being forgetful. She knows I can' t fall pregnant, but will always ask when we' re having another, or if we' re still trying.

She constantly send me pics of her grandson, but never asks how we are.

I doubt that she's trying to be hurtful --- some people are just thoughtless, tactless, and clumsy. Some illnesses may make a person forgetful before the age at which you might expect it --- but often what you dscribe is due to the person talking, but not actually listening to what the other person replies

Maybe try and avoid her because she is being rather thoughtless and hurtful at the same time.
Good Luck
