Our expert says:
Generally speaking if all is working well for a man this does not happen. The sperm and urine both pass through the urethra to exit the penis. The man has a sphincter that closes the bladder during orgasm and ejaculation so that the sperm does not flow into the bladder and passes by and out through the urethra.
In some men, especially if their have been prostate problems and prostate surgery or any other medical problem that affects the functioning of this sphincter, it is possible that a man could pass urine and sperm at the same time.
It is advisable to see a urologist to have it assessed.
