The best method of stimulating your metabolism is for you to start doing aerobic or cardio exercise every day for 30 min or longer. Running, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming, rowing, spinning and joining a gym or Walk for Life, are all cardio-type exercise. Now because you have a history of anorexia you need to be careful that you don't start exercising to excess. Do the exercise, but not in excess.
