Are you sure it is IBS - often doctors would diagnose recurring abdominal pain as IBS but you can only be sure if you saw a gastroenterologist and all other causes are excluded (i.e. inflammatory bowel disease, lactose intolerance, chronic parasite infections, diverticulosis)
