Sore Knees

My 13yr old daughter has been complaining about here knees. She keeps saying that they are not normal and that they hurt when she goes down on her knees and when she stands up. She has been growing over the last few months. Not sure if that could contribute to it. She does modern dancing and has to do a lot of floor work.

Dear Nici
She may have Osgood Slatter syndrome - in their growing period, the tendon may pull sligthly loose from the knee cap and can cause inflammation - see
Ask your doctor to have a look as she will have to rest from the modern dancing for a while if this is the case
