soft tissue swellings of hands, fingers,

Is it a food allergy as it seems to occur 2 hours after eating e.g. curry or orange concentrate cold drink but takes 7 days to go with the help of anti-inflamatories.

Dear Sue
It is difficult to tell if the swelling of your hands and fingers is linked to a food allergy esp because you require anti-inflammatories to reduce the swelling. For a food allergy the use of antihistamines would be more appropriate. If you have as yet, not had a medical checkup, please do have one the next time your hands and fingers swell so that the dr can get an idea of what the condition entails. The dr will send you for the necessary tests if he/she suspects food or other allergies.
Best regards
