Sodium

Does sodium effect cholestrol? I have high cholestrol and want to know if this is something to look out for.

Sodium does not as such influence your blood cholesterol levels, BUT eating too many salty foods and adding excessive amounts of salt to your food, can cause high blood pressure is you are 'salt-sensitive'. Generally speaking, it is a good idea to reduce the amount of salt you eat to prevent high bp and also to put less strain on the kidneys.
