skunky dog

Please help, I have a maltese poodle who is very old 20 years and like 100 years old in dog years... my problem is that he has developed a very, very stinky body. What can I use and is there a solution for this? What causes it?

Take him to the vet. There are various possibilities here, including viral conditions like malassezia - google it for more info. The longer you leave it the worse it' s likely to get, and it' s quite likely it' s making the dog uncomfortable too - get a proper diagnosis.
