Skin problem with teenage boy

My son is 15 and suffers from severe dry skin around eyes, nose and mouth. He has several topical creams etc which he uses to keep it under control. He is now also starting to develop the standard teenage pimples and wanted something to wash his face with. I got him Cetaphyll which was recommended by my dermatologist but he said that it made his skin too dry. Is there any other product you can recommend i can get for him. He uses Nutraderm as a moisturiser.

Hi Chantel
It sounds to me as if he has a bit of seborrheic dermatitis. He can wash his face with Dove soap (which contains moisturizer) and then use Benzac cream on specific spots. It may also help to use topical tetracyclin/erythromycin (antibiotic) lotion. It may be worth his while to see the dermatologist early on for an evaluation if his pimples get out of hand.

Try Zinplex it is a tablet and also has something to wash your face with and a moisturiser. It worked for my boys.
