sister dies after giving birth

Hi My sister went to see her Gynie on 4th Dec 2010 - to have Ceaser on 18th - nothing wrong - Monday rushed in - started Bleeding - had Baby at 10pm 7 Dec(StateHosp) , Baby later in ICU - lungs,Sister came out on Weds - complained about bad headaches - Friday got bad pain on her right side - admitted to ICU(MediCLinic),treated for lunf infection / enlarged gall bladder- Monday trf to PTA medi CLinic - getting worse - Tuesday did Biopsy - Liver deteriated 40% Last time she was awake- Wed trf to Liver Hosp in Jhb- on Dialisis Machine - Kidneys giving in - Friday sent to JHB gen - getting worse - all organs giving up - Wed 23 Dec died 6.20am (She was a healthy person - 25 years and 2 mths - her first baby - was so looking fwd to be a mother)
What could of went wrong??? Baby doing well - he came out of ICU on th 23rd the day she died now 3mths old

There are a number of possible causes - these include pre-eclampsia, a condition caused by pregnancy, acute fatty liver of pregnancy or hepato-renal syndrome. These can all occur quite suddenly. Why don't you speak to her doctors and ask what the final diagnosis was.

Hi Gene, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. Didn`t the doctor or hospital expaline anything to you , on what caused all this for your sister to end up dying.Get the answer from both Dr and hospital even though it wont help but you can all be at peace.

Oh lord, please keep the baby safe and protect him.
