Hi Marian

Please take the pup to the vet for a clinical examination. You need to inform the vet on the duration, frequency and composition of the vomitus. What do you feed e.t.c all this is important to make a clinical diagnosis. It is very difficult to make a diagnosis without facts...SORRY

Could be any one of a number of things.

It would perhaps be easier to advise if you provide the following information:
Does the pup not eat at all? Is he drinking? Does ''now and then'' mean every couple of hours, or two or three times a week? Has he been vaccinated and dewormed? What is his normal diet like? What breed is he? Has he been ill before?

Also: have you noticed any other symptoms like: Is he sleeping a lot? Does he prefer to be in the dark? Is he not at all interested in playing? Are his eyes/nose clear? Does his belly appear distended (swollen) at all? If you feel it gently, does it feel soft or hard? Are his gums nice and pink, or are they pale?

All this information is relevant, to try to home in on the problem.
