Shortness of Breath

Hi, I was in a accident about 14years ago where both my lungs were severely damaged because of the impact. I am now experiencing shortnes of breath problems. What could be the cause?

Dear Antoinette
It is difficult to guess what the cause could be - you may have scar tissue in the lungs, or a type of asthma. The best thing to do would be to see a pulmonologist for xrays and/or lung function tests to determine the cause of the symptoms, so that it can be treated correctly.
