Short time - hoe werk dit?

Goeie dag

Ons maatskappy is in die motor bedryf, en kry nou swaar. Ons was gelukkig om nog bonusse te ontvang het verlede jaar. Met ons terugkeer na die vakansie, het ons elkeen n brief gekry wat ons inlig dat daar ' short-time'  ingestel gaan word in die eerste kwartaal van 2009, veral in die produksielyne wat nie meer so n groot aanvraag het nie en hul ondersteunende departemente. Ek werk in die finansiele departement, beteken dit dat ons waarskynlik nie so erg geraak sal word soos die produksiepersoneel en die ingeneurs wat hulle ondersteun nie, of nie regtig nie? En kan hulle bv. een persoon in ons departement laat short time werk, terwyl die ander dit nie hoef te doen nie?

My laaste vraag, en seker die belangrikste, is dat my permanent aanstellings -|- rak my werksdae en ure uiteensit, Ma-Vr, en dat twee maande kennis nodig is. As ek nou vir ander werk begin soek wat steeds vir my n voltydse werk kan gee, moet ek steeds twee maande kennis gee, of kan ek vroeer loop omdat die -|- rak nie regtig meer nagekom word nie, en hoe vinnig kan ek loop sodra ek nuwe werk gekry het?

If you fall under a Bargaining Council, then you must have a look at the Bargaining Council rules.

If you do not fall under a Bargaining Council, this must be done by negotiation, they cannot just unilaterally go on short time.

Sorry, forgot to mention that end of Feb I will be working for them for two years, if it makes any difference.
