shingles and chemo

Hi, my mom has finished her radiation therapy in middle Feb after preventative chemo. She had shingles a few years ago. My question is this: My daughter 5years old have chickenpox now, and she had contact with my mom. Can my mom develop shingles again?

Hallo Therese
yes your mom is at risk of developing shingles again but not necessarily due to the chickenpox contact. I would however keep them apart as her immunity may be low due to the chemo she had recently.
