Sensitive neck area

In the past I could easily wear a top or scarf around the bottom base of my neck under my chin. Ever since I''ve had thyroid problems, anything touching my neck now, feels like I''m choking. All my tops or shirts have to have a wide neckline. What could be the cause of that. It''s been +/- 2 years now.

People commonly complain about sensitivity of the neck when they have thyroid problems. Consult your doctor to determine if your thyroid problem is adequately controlled.
