She says that she usually starts by April until Sept/October and her kids are always healthy during the winter months.Any one else also doing this? Can I give this to my 9 month old baby? How much? Is it best to give it in the mornings or the evening before bed?All comments will be appreciatedThanksLoretta 10 Pin It user comments Posted by: concerned parent | 2008/06/14 I was just wondering where would I find scotch emulsion? i checked at the local drug store , they didnt have it? Reply to concerned parent Posted by: jim | 2008/05/26 imune booster Reply to jim Posted by: Dene | 2008/03/19 My son is 9 months and I also give it to him and I do not see any bad reaction or something he is a healthy happy baby. Also give once in the morning. Reply to Dene Posted by: Kippie | 2008/03/19 I also use it for Christiaan. It is on my list to get over the weekend. Will start then for the winter season. He still gets the odd nose running but that could also be from his allergies. He had bronchitis once last year though but nothing compared to what he had the previous years. We buy the orange flavour. It is very thick but he does not seem to mind at all. I give it to him in the mornings. Reply to Kippie Posted by: mum21 | 2008/03/19 i think its best to give it in the morning cos it makes my daughter very hyper active. it is very good. i think just one t\s in the morning would be ok even though your l.o is only nine months old but speak to your pharmacist just incase. Reply to mum21 Posted by: Shirls | 2008/03/19 i also believe scotts emulsion is a great immune booster. recently when my lo had broncholitis i started giving her the s.e and in no time her cough was reduced to almost nothing.you can only start when your little one is a year old, at least thats waht it says on the box. Reply to Shirls Posted by: AMom2 | 2008/03/19 I gave my kids Scotch Emulsion - liquid from about 10 months to 4 years and then switched over to the pills untill they were about 7. The children still get sick but they recover much quicker. There is no cure for the common cold but you can help your child cope or recover better by boosting the imune system. Any Propolis product is also exelent and although I never used it, many people swear by Viral Choice. I believe essential Vites such as Vit C, the Omegas, zinc in small dosages and Calcium is essential for the kiddies. My children are on a daily dose of at least those. I also give my children (no primary school age) olive leaf extract from about January to Aug each year. A natural imune booster (also good as a natural antibiotic) and that seems to work wonders. My son had the flu last year - it lasted from 10 oclock to 18 oclock and the fever broke. (38.5) and the next day his runny nose was gone. My daughter wasn't sick at all..... Reply to AMom2 Posted by: Mommy2 | 2008/03/18 The only thing that works for me. I have 2 boys, 4 years and a 19 months. I give it to both in the mornings. Have to say I cannot see any differenc if I give it at night - the morning is just more suitable for the routine issue... I started to give it to them when they were both 12 months. A colleague said that the vitamin D was not good in summer because we get the vitamin through the sun also. I checked the website and also queried with Sister Lilian and confirmed all ok. I am buying the new flavour Berrys - they Looooooove it! Reply to Mommy2 Posted by: KC | 2008/03/18 I heard it is excellent but I'm not sure about the age you can start giving it. My friend gives it to her toddler and I have never seen her with a runny nose or a cold.I will also find out about it when my LO is a little older - he is only four months at the moment. Reply to KC Posted by: Tam | 2008/03/18 I used to give it to my son he didn't really like it though but its very good for themspeak to your pharmacist bout giving it to ur little one and what amount to give Reply to Tam Want to comment?
