scabies

A friend''s daughter has been diagnosed by the GP as having scabies. I have not had physical contact with the daughter, but the mother has visited me. I did not touch her specifically, but would like to know what my risk is of contracting scabies as it is quite contagious. What precautions can I take to avoid contracting it as well?

Hallo Liezle
You have to have close, direct and continuous contact with someone to contract scabies. I don't think you are at risk at all.
