Saturated Fats

Hi doc

I have high cholesterol, and if I understand it correctly I must consume as little saturated fats as possible. If I look at the nutritional info for food what must the max sat fats per 100g be to be considered low?

Dear Lyn
According to the new SA labelling laws a food product can be regarded as 'low in saturated fat' if it contains 1.5 g of saturated fat per 100g (for solids) and 0.75g per 100 ml (for liquids).
Hope this helps
