Sandoz-Allopurin

Hi,
I was given this medication for gout, but heard that it is a " water pill" , and that once I start using it, my body will never be able to get rid of excess water on it''s own. How much truth is in this?

Thanks

This is nonsense. Allopurinol is indeed a tablet used as chronic treatment to prevent acute gout attacks.
