The following side-effects are listed: Both Hoodia gordonii and Gymnema sylvestre may reduce blood sugar levels to such an extent, that diabetics may need to reduce the dosage of their medications. Individuals who do not have diabetes may also experience low blood sugar levels, which could cause hypoglycaemia. Hoodia also suppresses thirst, so make sure that you drink sufficient liquid (but not too much either - stick to 2,5 litres of liquid per day) to prevent dehydration. Green tea extract and caffeine side-effects are listed as: restlessness, irritability, insomnia, palpitations, upset stomach and skin rash.
