Vitmains and mineral supplements are important if your diet is lacking in any way. A general multi-vitamin may help to ensure you are meeting your daily nutritional requirements. An omega-3 fish oil supplement is important if you do not eat 2 or more portions of 'oily' fish per week (e.g. salmon, sardines, pilchards, mackerel, trout etc).
