Reaction after glucose intolerance test

My husband aged 64 went for the 2 hr glucose intolerance test yesterday. He reported becoming very drowsy during the procedure. The tiredness stayed with him all day. He fell asleep at 19h00 and only woke up at 5h00 this morning. Is this a normal reaction?

Hallo Maria
Yes, too high or too low blood sugar can cause drowsiness and the GTT test induces high sugar levels.
