re gastro / panic post 4420

Hi Dr Bets

Stool sometimes smells but sometimes does not but always with mucus in it.

How much does it cost to send a sample to a lab to test for parasites? What treatment should one persue in this case? Is it enough to just take probiotics or not? What about the nausea? How serious is this?

I am currently on Leximal for the panic attacks

Hallo Shelley
The cost will differ from lab to lab - you can ask around. If a parasite is picked up you take a type of antibiotic (Flagyl) for a week. Probiotics alone won't heal a parasite infection. Try treating the nausea with Valoid.
