Rabella injection

How long after the injection can one fall pregnant?
I had my injection on Monday the 30th. So eager to fall pregnant. The gynae suggested 3 months, but I don''t see the reason, just as long as I am not infected by someone during that time, should everything go well should I fall pregnant during that time. Or can the injection somehow harm the baby?

You should wait at least one month after the rubella vaccination. It contains live virus and can infect the baby if you fall pregnant in this time.

Best wishes
